The Karpas Peninsula

8 days

With 320 days of sunshine each year, the island of Cyprus is a wonderful place to visit in spring or autumn, for a holiday guaranteed to increase your sense of well-being.

This area, commonly known as Turkish Cyprus (officially the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) has not yet been discovered by mass tourism and remains a splendid location for walking in unspoilt countryside.

We are specialists in walking holidays and invite you to take part in a stay of 8, 11 or 15 days, as part of a small group, staying in simple hotels by the sea, visiting historic sites (such as Salamis, Kyrenia, Belle la Paix and Soli), walking on well-established footpaths (you will even see wild donkeys), and swimming from the most beautiful beaches on the island, which are still deserted.  Discover a superb, little known part of the world.  Exercise in clean air, cultural visits, sunbathing and swimming, a change of scenery guaranteed to revitalise: all at a very acceptable price.

We cater for small groups of 6 to 16 people, with a guide speaking your language who will help you discover the wonders of this magnificent island.  From your arrival at Ercan airport (in Nicosia or Lefkoşa in Turkish) right up to your departure at the end of the programme, you will be accompanied by your guide whose services are included in the price of the holiday.

Note on extensions to standard programmes.  Unfortunately it is no longer possible for tourists to cross from northern Cyprus into southern (or Greek) Cyprus.  Hopefully one day this will change but, whilst we wait for the politicians to reach agreement, you should visit the magnificent area that is the northern (or Turkish) part of the island.

Three walks in the unspoilt Karpas Peninsula (eastern Cyprus).  Visits to Famagusta, Salamis (on the southern coast) and Nicosia.
